Soft Close Months prior to actual YE close

It would be nice to be able to soft close a month preventing entries to a period prior to officially closing the year at year end. I have had a number of instances where a date was entered incorrectly and posted to a month that we have already issued financial statements for. Blackbaud accounting software had this feature when I worked at another employer, and it was really helpful.
