Ability to Add Specific Time Stamps/Punches to EWS After The Fact
It would be great if there was the ability to add time worked with specific times referenced (rather than total hours worked) and the system automatically calculate the total hours worked per system settings. Currently, if staff are not able to clock in/out in real time, managers have to 1) calculate the number of hours the staff member actually worked (taking into account EWS rounding), 2) enter the hours, earning code, etc., and then 3) we request a description be added that state the specific hours staff worked for internal audit reviews. As a healthcare entity, we often do reviews of our timecards to ensure staff were working when services are provided, documentation is signed, etc. so the actual hours worked is very important. Our current process is susceptible to human error and inconsistency with the system's rounding functionality.

John Michael AdminHi Whitney,
Thank you for the suggestion. The EWS timesheet does provide this functionality. If you refer to the HR/EWS help manual, you'll find out more about the 7 different time forms and different functions provided that should accommodate what you are needing. If you have trouble finding this information, please feel free to reach out to support for further guidance. Best. -

Whitney MoederJohn - I explored the different time forms and only one of them (Form V) appears to have an actual clock in/clock out function where staff simply click a button and the system registers the time. We are currently using Form V for that reason as the other time forms appear to have generic dropdowns where staff select the appropriate quarter hour slot and save it - there is a certain level of trust that the staff member is selecting the correct quarter hour slot.
Is there a way to have access to two different time forms. Form V works because for staff clocking in and out but I see where Form VII would possibly allow managers/supervisors the ability to select the appropriate time slots. If not, we will just continue with what we are doing. Thank you for the additional information! -

John Michael AdminHi Whitney,
Would assigning different form types to different employees satisfy this need? If so, it's currently possible to assign Form V to specific employees and Form VII to others. This is handles in HR under Maintain > Timesheet Setup > Employee Timesheet Settings. From there you would select employees and the appropriate time entry form.
Also, there is a setting to allow time approvers to edit time punches for employees. If this is enabled, they should be able to click 'Edit' and modify different time punches and breaks. It might be possible that your org does not have this feature enabled? This is found in System Settings or if you have the HR Staff menu in System Settings. If you need further assistance with this matter, please contact support for help...
