Improvements to Time Entry in EWS
1. When doing time entry in EWS it would be beneficial to have a total for each row, or cost center. This would help easily identify how many hours have been charged to specific grants/cost centers over a pay period.
2. It would also be beneficial to have the total hours worked for the pay period. Although it calculates daily totals it would be nice to see the total hours calculated including paid time off before submitting. Currently a user needs to go to the pivot table to see total hours worked and paid time off combined.
3. Ability to use the cursor keys to be able to move through cells of the day you are working in. The tab function moves you through days of the work week but does not allow you to move down the page with the cursor or shortcut key. If charging time to various and multiple cost centers the user must physically use a mouse-click to navigate through the day. The use of cursor keys would make this much less cumbersome.
