EWS leave request date range
When creating a leave request for vacation it would be nice to be able to do a date range. Currently once vacation leave type is selected the end leave date disappears causing the leave to show as 40 hours on 1 date instead of a date range. The employee has to enter a leave request for each day of the week to be able to enter for 40 hours vacation. This is not efficient.

John Michael AdminHi Liz,
We are not 100% sure what is meant by the 'end date disappearing' when entering the leave type. Can you expand on this a little so we can possibly try to recreate this? -

Liz CappellettyWhen entering a Leave Request, once the leave type: VAC is entered the "End Date" spot disappears.
The only boxes available to input or change information are the following: Leave Date, Leave Type, Request Status, Hours Requested, and Comments.
Therefore, when the leave request makes it to the timesheet, the manager and payroll sees the entire 40 hours requested on 1 date.
Example: Needing to request 40 hours vacation for date range 9/11/23-9/15/23
Leave Request example:
Leave date- 9/11/23
Leave Type- VAC
Request Status-Request
Hours Requested- 40
Comments- xxxxx
Timesheet example/what payroll and managers see: 9/8/23-40 hours vacation. -

Liz CappellettyCurrently since we have the "approve on timesheet" setting active the employee can't use a date range when requesting vacation time. We would like for the employee to be able to request a range of 9/11-9/15 off for vacation and the approver to automatically approve the request on timesheet.
Currently because of that setting the employee can only request one day at a time off, and enter a new time off request for each day of the week.
