Open Tabs in Separate Windows
Suggested Improvement: Open Tabs in Separate Windows
Please add the option to open a tab in a separate window within MIP Classic. This would allow users to view and compare information side by side.
For example, while working on a bank reconciliation, I may need to review the details of an accounting entry. Currently, I must generate and open a report to view that entry without leaving the reconciliation screen. The ability to open the entry in a separate window would make research and reconciliation faster, easier, and more efficient.

Janine Allen, Sr. Product Manager, MIP AdminThank you for your suggestion. You do have an option to tile the windows within the application by changing your settings. Go to the Window menu in MIP, then select to Tile Horizontally or Vertically.

Reyna RiveraThank you for your response. I am aware of the option to tile windows horizontally or vertically within MIP. However, my suggestion is specifically to allow a tab or window to be moved outside the main MIP application and displayed on a second monitor.
Many users work with multiple monitors. Being able to keep the bank reconciliation open on one screen while viewing an accounting entry or related information on another would provide more usable space and make research and reconciliation significantly faster and more efficient.
Currently, my workaround is to log in to MIP a second time so I can use another screen. However, this requires an additional user seat, potentially preventing another employee from accessing the system when needed.
The tiling option is helpful, but it divides the available space within a single application window and does not provide the same functionality as opening or moving a tab to a separate monitor. Please consider adding multi-window or detachable-tab s
