Enhancement Request: Filter for Active Billing Group IDs
It would be extremely helpful to have the option to display only Active Billing Group IDs throughout MIP.
Currently, every Billing Group ID that has ever been created is displayed in lookup lists, including inactive billing groups. As organizations accumulate years of historical data, users must sort through a long list of inactive records to locate the correct active billing group, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of selecting the wrong record.
Suggested Enhancement:
Add an “Active Only” filter for Billing Group ID lookup lists.
Provide the ability to toggle between Active, Inactive, and All Billing Group IDs when needed.
Apply this filter consistently wherever Billing Group IDs are selected within MIP.
Benefits:
Faster data entry.
Reduced risk of selecting inactive billing groups.
Cleaner and more efficient lookup lists.
Improved user experience for organizations with many years of historical billing records.
This enhancement would significantly improve efficiency while still preserving access to historical records when needed.

Janine Allen, Sr. Product Manager, MIP AdminIf you set the Billing Group to "D" Discontinue rather than Inactive, it will remove it from the lookup lists during data entry.
If needed at a later time, you can reactivate the Billing Group that you previously marked as Discontinued.
