If you import a batch of journal entries with multiple journal entries as one import, then go to add a journal entry to another session and use the + key, it doesn't pick up the last journal entry number from the imported batch. It picks up the next available number as the 2nd journal entry number from the imported batch.

It would be helpful to us if you could clarify the behavior you are seeing in MIP.
Do you mean that when you import Session 01, you have Journal Entries 1, 2, 3, then you manually add Session 2, it auto numbers the Journal Entry as 2?
Is the imported session Posted or Unposted when you are creating the manual entry?
