Toggle Single column vs dual columns for amounts on GL Detail Reports

Many times when working with excel, its easier to have an export with amounts in a single column, instead of separated into debits and credits. It would be great to either be able to add a custom column like the financial reports that can calculate the net effect of that line (positive = debit, negative =credit), or a toggle switch that allows the report to be viewed either in separate columns or a single column. As things are now, I have to create this column every time I export a gl report.
