HR Module - Employee Tab
Add a blank page on the employee tab rather than having it activate to the first employee on the list. Data change errors are occurring because it automatically activates the first person on the list, rather than requiring a search to find the employee.

Tracey AdminHi Melissa, Thank you for your request! Could you provide us with a little more information on whether you are trying to add a new employee record or search through existing records?

MelidsaHi. When trying to update an existing record there are times when you click save or have to close out of the screen to run ben updates and it defaults back to the first record. We have had errors because the person who needs to continue updating the same record assumes they are on the record needing updates, but actually is in the first employee in the alphabetic list. If there was a way to not have the first employee on the landing page for the employee tab, it would require a search or a forward arrow which would help with these errors. Hopefully that makes sense but if needed I could take screen shots. Thank you for looking into this. We have been in MIP for about a year and a half. We really like the system but the above issue has happened 5 or 6 times.

Melissa KainThe issue we are having is related to updating an existing record. There are times during an update that the Benefit wizard needs to be run, but when returning to review or continue editing a record, the user can inadvertently make changes on the first employee record in the list. It would be helpful if when clicking on the employee tab, the landing page was blank and required a search or an arrow to navigate, rather than populating the first employee in the list. We have been with MIP for a little over a year and editing a record in error has occurred multiple times because of the first employee being populated automatically. Which of course results in added to work to undue the error and redo on the correct employee.

HGrantIf the system didn't default to the first person in the employee list would be helpful. Default to the selection box
