Viewing Statement of Rev & Exp by Period with Unposted Items Included

The most recent upgrade allows for the Statement of Financial Position to now include unposted items which is great. We use the Statement of Rev & Expense by period to view activity as it occurs throughout the month. This would be much more beneficial if it included all unposted items to date since the Accounting Department does not always post all the entries on any given day especially when month-end entries are being generated. This would make that report hugely more valuable for all your clients.

The ability to includeunposted transactions in combining reports is long overdue IMHO.

We utilize the 'by Period' report for various analytics throughout the month and concur that often accounting is awaiting final approval for month-end, quarter-end, year-end, and audit adjustments. The functionality of including unposted transactions would allow for more timely analytical review of data during a 'soft-close' period. Currently, we must maintain spreadsheets and manual reports in order to create our trended (or by-period) reports. It is labor-intensive and not cost effective. With the monetary investment made in Abila, this capability just makes sense. If we are going to spend in house labor hours to develop reports, it makes more sense to go with a more cost effective accounting system to offset the cost.
